I am seeing this on Ubuntu 9.04 -- don't know if it should be re-opened
or if a new issue should be created.

I had this issue on 8.04, saw this thread, performed all upgrades (in
this case it was the kernel) and then the Fn power keys worked.  Now
that I've upgraded (reinstalled) to 9.04, the Fn keys are again
functionnal.

My laptop is a Toshiba Tecra A8.
