I have the same problem on HP tx2000 laptop. It seems to be the problem with NVidia videocard (or chipset?). It works fine and temperature is moderate (50~70 C) unless you try to watch flash videos - then it overheats in about 10 minutes.
My laptop at work has an intel integrated videocard, and that doesn't happen at all there (of course, I don't watch youtube videos that often there, but still...) I've tried to do a fresh install, and not installing the proprietary nvidia drivers, but the problem is still there, so it's clearly not a driver issue. Anyway, hope this will be figured out soon. -- jaunty constant overheating https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375285 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
