Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
When I create a long playlist (much longer than what can be displayed on the screen at one time) and then try to rearrange tracks in the playlist by dragging and dropping them from one position to another, after I select the tracks and try to drag them the display jumps to the top of the playlist and I'm unable to scroll down or drop the tracks anywhere except in the top part of the list that is displayed on the screen. For example, if I have a playlist with 50 tracks, with my screen resolution only 20 are displayed at a time. If I want to move tracks 46-50 to position 30, I select the 5 tracks and try to drag them up to position 30 - but as soon as I start dragging them the display jumps to the top of the list and I'm unable to scroll down by positioning my cursor at the bottom of the list. I can drop the 5 tracks anywhere in position 1 to 20 but I can't drop them any lower than that because I can't get the list to scroll down. This bug only seemed to appear when I switched to Jaunty. I never had a problem dragging and dropping tracks in Intrepid. I've tried rhythmbox 0.12.0 and 0.12.1 (from getdeb) and have the same problem.
