This doesn't seem to happen on a freshly install Ubuntu (the same 9.04 version, but installed instead of upgraded) which was install with the 2nd screen alreayd plugged. The fact that Ubuntu was installed with the other screen already plugged may be the thing that prevents the bug to happen. I think it it because the external screen was first considered as the main screen, thus the vertical resolution being 1024 on the "main" screen, the "second" screen (the one integrated in the laptop)has no black area beacause it's reolution is less than 1024 (900). Now I used my laptop a few times without the external screen , and the internal screen seem to be considered as the main screen (the one on which the login screen is displayed). The bug hasn't returned.
But of course, the bug is still happening if I run the "old" ubuntu install, which is still on my HDD. -- black area on dual screen with compiz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
