I'm having the same problem, my lspci says my VGA is an Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller.
I just installed FirewallBuilder, and I am experiencing similar glitches in the interface (see screenshot), so maybe it's related, and maybe this problem has nothing to do with Blender.
