Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal
On my Dell Vostro 1500 running Kubuntu Karmic 64, I cannot properly mount an SD card that I have inserted into the laptop's SD card slot. Dolphin complains about a general failure when trying to mount the device, and I get this: [ 5614.083652] hal-storage-mou[10056]: segfault at 0 ip 000000000040328d sp 00007fff17e86bc0 error 4 in hal-storage-mount[400000+7000] in the dmesg. The card reader is: 03:01.1 SD Host controller [0805]: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter [1180:0822] (rev 22) (prog-if 01) Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:0228] Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 64, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes Interrupt: pin B routed to IRQ 18 Region 0: Memory at f9bfd400 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: [80] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0+,D1+,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=2 PME- Kernel driver in use: sdhci-pci Kernel modules: sdhci-pci In the same system, I have no problem mounting a plugged USB Flash Drive, so the problem appears to be specific to the card reader. ** Affects: hal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- HAL fails to properly mount inserted SD card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
