certainly not a duplicate of #125835. However, #334947 is a duplicate of this one. BTW, I've already done a preliminary analysis of the package in the latter bug. For your convenience, I'm copying it here:
First analysis of the package: - no full sources. the linux binary tarball ships a bunch of binary libraries: - libfaac (already in ubuntu) - libmp3lame (too - libamrnb & libamrwb (both unredistributable - license of them do not permit it) - include a static copy of the 'ffmpeg' binary - the thing seems implemented in a weird language I don't know, perhaps basic or ruby, no idea. - then they claim of them were produced by them and claiming it GPL. All in all pretty serious licensing issues. I've contacted the ffmpeg developers about that to engage legal action against them. I see no chance to get that included into ubuntu in this form. ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 125835 cannot play audio on .3gp movies -- [needs-packaging] mobile-media-converter https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
