I've been having problems with sound reseting and defaulting to 0 volume and muted after boot with or without the new rt I compiled. is just another ubuntu bug. ... wait for updates? I had problems with my ati HD4830 fglrx doesn't compile with dkms (has different scripting or something) or if it does gives corrupted X. so must use open source Radeon driver and metacity but thats ok. some of the modules don't get compiled or found or are very different form 2.6.28.
