Chris : Did not try the PDF export, will try soon :-) Pascal : dpkg-reconfigure worked. So paper size is a global setting in Ubuntu/gnome and can not be overridden?? Sounds very rigid and impractical. Off topic : It did not change default paper size in Firefox...
