Hello, I know this doesn't solve this bug (which I confirm, though I am in a Win XP version so I guess it is a Thunderbird bug), but you can work around this problem by going to tools->options->Advanced Settings (arriving to Thunderbird's about:config) and adjust the mail.identity.*.sig_bottom to false.
