This bug continues to exist in 9.04, Jaunty final. Nothing has changed as far as I can tell.
It SURE would be nice to have this fixed, or at least to have the maintainer weigh in on when someone might take a look. On my keyboardless system, I still end up having to power-down to get out of the UI freeze that this bug causes.
