@MIcah: Attached is an HTML file which reproduces the problem. Look at the second DIV block, which is self-closing. If it is closed with an explicit close tag, the error does not show up. It doesn't specify an explicit DOCTYPE, and adding one didn't change the behaviour in my tests.
