I managed to fix it.
Booted into my Gentoo box.
Changed my menu.lst to include Ubuntu's setup.
Rebooted into Ubuntu. For some f***ing reason Ubiquity never pulled in dmraid
into the install despite being able to see the nvraid setup.
Rebooted into my Gentoo setup.
Chrooted into the Ubuntu partition.
apt-get update/upgrade (no idea why Ubiquity didn't do this in the install.
Debian Etch even did that.)
Installed dmraid.
Reboot.
Presto. It works! Except now Firefox continously wants to restart and Zydas
wireless support is very flaky. God knows how Ubuntu manages it.
Close enough I guess. At least this is the first of 5 machines that doesn't
have pulseaudio issues.
