disabled ALL extensions (langpacks etc.)

how to reproduce:

login to GMail, Compose Mail
paste ~64kB of arbitrary text into the Compose Form
start typing at the top of the message
input English, no problem at all.
input Korean (with SCIM), suddenly input cursor crawls

what should happen:

input speed should not vary from language to language.

notes:

disabled all GMail Lab features.
tried creating new firefox profile to no avail.
happens in firefox and epiphany-gecko both.
windows XP version of firefox do not exhibit this bug.
