Hello, eSpeak 1.18 has been released. Could you please update the package and propose it in the main Ubuntu repository.
For info, Debian also offers eSpeak. Its package depends on PortAudio V19 (which can manage Alsa). The Ubuntu eSpeak 1.15 package depends on V18.
