No link between indicated package and bug description. Can you retry without Firefox to be sure problem is related only on Audio CD-ROM?
-- Inserting audio disc brings up sound juicer - have to cancel this before I can play the disc in vlc - this jumps and restarts this process when I am browsing with Firefox - sysrtem monitor shows 1.8g dual core at 95-100% - ie. overload.
