Is there a reason why this is a good idea? What do you expect it to do for you? Just check email while Tbird is closed?

Try mozilla-traybiff-common this will check email while Tbird is closed if it is decided to happen you wouldn't see it until at least tbird-3.0 hopefully making in in Karmic but its still only beta3 but we will see how it goes.
