Public bug reported:
Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 nautilus: Installed: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://ftp.klid.dk jaunty-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://ftp.klid.dk jaunty/main Packages I was deleting(shift+del) ~500.000 files I'd recovered and copied to my NAS, and then I get a black screen with nothing working, not even alt+ctrl+F*. Thankfully, Sysrq+REISUB worked, so I was able to restart safely and try again. Same thing happened. A few files were deleted, then it crashed. Third time around, I just did a "rm -rf," and it worked! The files were on my external 2TB USB-drive. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: + + Description: Ubuntu 9.04 + Release: 9.04 + + nautilus: + Installed: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 + Candidate: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 + Version table: + *** 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 0 + 500 http://ftp.klid.dk jaunty-updates/main Packages + 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu1 0 + 500 http://ftp.klid.dk jaunty/main Packages + I was deleting(shift+del) ~500.000 files I'd recovered and copied to my NAS, and then I get a black screen with nothing working, not even alt+ctrl+F*.
