I agree (sort of). I upgraded to feisty herd2 (which uses the 2.6.20 kernel) the other day and I no longer get the IRQ problems. The wireless works as it did for me with the old kernel when I used the nv driver instead of nvidia. I don't notice any difference regarding my proximity to the access point.
