Could you try something for me please. Goto http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ and download the 0.3.3 live cd and see if your drive is correct in that. If it is could you report back here please. This could just be an issue with the age of the gparted package in which case it maybe fixed in the newer version and that version needs implementing in Ubuntu.
