Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Hi, It seems that firefox doesn't use GVFS: when I'd like to upload a file from a samba server, locally mounted through nautilus/gvfs, opened dialog doesn't show me my network mounts.... I have to do: ctrl+h, go into ~/.gvfs/.... to select my file and upload it. Same behavior while downloading it (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/231221 ) Informations : lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 Codename: jaunty dpkg -l | grep firefox 252:ii firefox 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 253:ii firefox-3.0 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 254:ii firefox-3.0-branding 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 255:ii firefox-3.0-gnome-support 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 256:ii firefox-gnome-support 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 dpkg -l | grep gvfs 402:ii gvfs 1.2.2-0ubuntu1 403:ii gvfs-backends 1.2.2-0ubuntu1 404:ii gvfs-bin 1.2.2-0ubuntu1 405:ii gvfs-fuse 1.2.2-0ubuntu1 865:ii libgvfscommon0 1.2.2-0ubuntu1 My workaround is to create a link into nautilus, like "file:///home/user/.gvfs Fileserver alternative"...
