Architecture : x86_64 DistroRelease : Xubuntu 9.04 Package: linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.42 Graphic card : HD2400 pro( 6xx chip ).
This is not a notebook. I have the same problem, the upgrade from 8.10 ->9.04 caused the mouse and keyboard to freeze. I could use both of them a short time 30 secs, then the caps lock key turned off and both the mouse and keyboard froze. I was able to move the mouse pointer, but not click on anything. The freeze seemed to occur when I started to use the desktop. If I work in the console <ctrl><alt>F1, no freeze. Seemed like the xorg.conf file was nullified. X -configure gave me generic file, but the problem remained. Restarted hal and udev, but the problem ramained. Logs , can't produce them on that specific machine. This is what I can find in the logs.
