I have a similar problem - not sure if it is related, which is not restricted to KDE. The Japanese Kanji for 'fix' (nao.su) is displayed incorrectly - according to my Kanji dictionary, it is displayed using the corresponding character from written Chinese.
Can be repeated by doing the following: export LANG=en_US.UTF8 gedit export LANG=ja_JP.UTF8 gedit I've attached an image. I'm seeing the same incorrect character in Firefox, Kate, and other applications. ** Attachment added: "Japanese Kanji for 'fix' (nao.su) entered in different locales" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26490847/gedit_naosu.png -- Some Kanji in KDE apps not displayed properly with en_US.UTF8, ok with ja_JP.UTF8 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
