and added kernel parameters to my menu.list ro quiet i8042.nomux=1 irqpoll acpi_no_auto_ssdt acpi_sleep=s3_bios which don't give me suspend but i can have screen blanking. If I don't have them i don't have akeyboard when the screen comes back up.
