Okay, it has been happening without vmplayer running or the TurboPrint applet. Just gvim, firefox and aptitude in gnome-terminal were running 2 times it happened. I am trying the 171 packages of nvidia instead of 180. I'll post my findings after it hangs or runs successfully for several hours of usage.
