Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

The "Samba as a Domain Controller" guide located at
https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/serverguide/C/samba-dc.html
and
https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/serverguide/C/samba-dc.html

has a typo that causes joining of the domain from a Windows computer to
fail with the message "the user name could not be found".

In the section of the guide titled "Primary Domain Controller", in step
three, the current documentation reads:

add machine script = sudo /usr/sbin/useradd -n -g machines -c Machine -d
/var/lib/samba -s /bin/false %u

The "-n" flag should be an "-N" flag, as "-n" is not a valid option to
the useradd command.

         Status: New
