Public bug reported:

Shortly after upgrading to Jaunty (9.04) the left click on my laptop
stopped working. It worked for a few days, then failed, interestingly
enough. When Jaunty starts, it opens a drag-window, as if left is being
held down. Could that be the issue?

The left click works OK on an Intrepid live CD, so I've reinstalled
Intrepid (8.10) on a new partition. It starts with a similar drag-
window, but cancelling that allows the mouse to work properly.

It's clear I'm not alone in the odd mouse isses here. The following look
to me like they might all be related to this problem.

In my various researches I've found some references to Compiz causing
these kind of problems, but as far as I know I do not use Compiz....
