Public bug reported: After upgrading to Fiesty (via "apt-get dist-upgrade" method), accessing files on a CIFS share which is mounted to a local folder is painfully slow. Copying a single large file, while still slow (varies greatly between 1 K/s and 500 K/s) isn't nearly as bad as copying a folder with sub-folders and files. The server itself is running Fedora Core 6, and the client is, of course, running Ubuntu Fiesty.
All the logs I've checked don't seem to be reporting any CIFS/SMB troubles, but I'll keep investigating. In the mean-time, if anyone else has been experiencing this problem, I'd love to hear about it. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- CIFS seems to be very slow https://launchpad.net/bugs/79503 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
