This is somewhat similar to my problem. Before downloading Ubuntu 9.04 I was able to download my hotmail on evolution very well and as soon as I upgraded to 9.04 I could no longer connect. I get an "Error While Fetching Mail" message and then when I click on that it tells me I can not connect to the required ip address. I did report it though.
