well, with the patch when the clock is adjusted backwards everything works except that I can not change window fucus. But since I can now enter things into a terminal I can then restart openbox (using 'openbox --replace' since I'm runnig gnome) and that clears things up immediately.
So that's an anoyance, but at least it doesn't kill my system.
