It is unlikely anyone knows exactly what is wrong without trying to diagnose the problem. That would require asking of questions as we do not have the exact same harware as you. Your description sounds like te machine went through the normal hibernate process and got much of the way down as it pushed memory contents out to swap. It then came straight back so it failed in some sense. Normally when it fails it will record why in the kernel message log. This can be found by triggering the hibernate and after login running the command below: dmesg >LOG and attaching the file LOG to this bug. It would also be useful to know if normal suspend works correctly or not, as the kernel machinary for both is largly common. We normally recommend reading the following the kernel debugging guide for Suspend/Hibernate at the url below: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume -apw -- [LENOVO ThinkPad X200] suspend/resume problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323857 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
