In case anybody cares, I have the same issue with my good old HP DeskJet 880C, which worked perfectly until upgrading to 9.04, working fine for more than ten years...
I had to change the way it is accessed for it to start working at all. Thanks to my backup, I can tell you the the old URI was: DeviceURI usb://HP/DESKJET%20880C?serial=ES91P131MRFA ...and the new is: DeviceURI hp:/usb/DeskJet_880C?serial=ES91P131MRFA AFAIK, the old URI scheme does not work anymore... The printer works for some time, then something goes pear shaped and I have PoffPon the printers's, I suppose to reset its USB stack. -- package linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.42 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364435 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
