After fresh install of 9.04 on clean disk and using sudo top 100% cpu is reported for Synaptic for a couple of minutes after marking a number of packages to be installed and when installation completed. Problem remains after all updates have been installed and machine restarted. This does not happen every time packages are selected or installed. It looks like a problem that arises when the list of packages is refreshed.
