I am seeing this frequently in 9.04 Jaunty. Thinkpad x200, Jaunty final installed. When I switch back to the first account I logged in to using the fast user switching menu, I see a brief flash of the entire screen before the login panel appears. I don't think it happens every time, but very frequently. Let me know if you need more details.
