Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
I can do a quick search in the Synaptic package manager. However then I can not interact with the packets-managing widgets nor panel. The autotomatic update manager window I can press update and it seemingly does however I can then not close the window, the update manager seems to likewise get unresponsive and no further interaction can be done, meanwhile the mouse icon changes to busy in that window and I am forced to be kill the update-manager through the console.
