I have the same problem with my Sony NWZ-A816. It appears as an icon on my desktop under the name Sony Corp. Walkman but when I open it there's nothing inside it, only an option to open with Rhythmbox but even that doesn't help. It used to work fine on 8.10 but not so on 9.04. Here's hoping this will be fixed soon.
