I also have this problem. Wireless keeps disconnecting, seemingly at random - once it disconnects, it is unable to reconnect again (although the panel icon suggests that it is trying). The only way for me to connect again is to disable wireless in NM and enable it again.
I've tried the vesa driver fix and it didn't help at all, the behavior is completely the same. Running the vesa driver right now and was just disconnected. I've also tried downgrading the NM, currently running at version 0.7~~svn20081018t105859-0ubuntu2, again, to no avail. This behavior started after upgrading to Jaunty.
