Binary package hint: xsane
Scanned a pic. Noticed it had vertical lines in it.
Tried scanning at a lower resolution - still had the lines. (first pic
was at 1200 second was at 600)
Tried it on an older version. It was fine. Version with lines is 0.996
in jaunty 64bit. The good version is in intrepid (well, mint 6). I
have never noticed this problem on Hardy either.
Have not tinkered with any settings at all in XSane. Scanner is a
cannon lide25
