I heard that a TV adapter package that comes with Hardy Heron can cause a similar type of lock-up. It also might be an indexing program that is hogging the CPU. I think your best bet is to try disabling each of the programs in turn that you found hogging the CPU and thereby see if one of these is the culprit. Good luck Rob
