Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gimp
Gimp seems to be keeping track of the palette state separately between the mouse and the stylus. The palette state switches to one set of settings as the mouse cursor leaves and re-enters the gimp window, and then switches back to another as the stylus touches the screen surface. This is disruptive, as the gimp palette is on a second screen that isn't accessible to the stylus.
