I run kubuntu 9.04, fresh install, and only my main user account, which is the account that the installer created (admin), can change its user image in the login manager (through "About Me" in "System Settings").
Other users (they are not admins!) can change their image through "About Me", but the image is not updated in the login screen. Changing the user image through "Login Manager" in "System Settings" does change the user image. However, I want to let the other users to change their image in the login screen. Notice: When users change their image, the image is updated in "About Me" and in the Kickoff menu (at the top, next to the search field).
