I am no longer getting this bug, however I have not used 3d acceleration for some time (with excellent stability). Cannot retest the bug now - I cannot get 3d accel working at all! Xorg crashes and restarts when trying this. Haven't seen this behavior reported elsewhere. I will report as a new bug if I don't find anything similar. Cheers guys.
