Public bug reported:
I just tried to install Xubuntu fiesty herd 2. It boots up fine as a
live CD. When I try to install it, it asks my time zone and keyboard and
then gives me a screen with a broad black band across the top and bottom
of the screen. The middle of the screen has blue, white and greyish
vertical stripes of varying widths.
When I hit the power button, it powers down.
My computer is a Gateway Profile 4 (all-in-one design) with a 17inch
screen.
It was running Ubuntu Edgy just fine and will still boot up normally
into Edgy after the failed install attempt.
