Public bug reported:

Description: With systems using AUO and LG Philips 18.5" LVDS, as the graphic
driver has installed, "Out of range" occurred by changing resolution from
1366*768 to 1440*900.
This was due to that the maximum resolution for 18.5" panels are using 1366*768.
This issue does not occurred under MSFT OS since the resolution cannot be
adjusted above the maximum resolution.

Graphic Driver Versions:
xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.4.1-1ubuntu10.5~test1_i386.deb
linux-image-2.6.27-14-generic_2.6.27-14.33_i386.deb
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-14-generic_2.6.27-14.19_i386.deb

Steps to replicate:
1. Ensure the system is configured with a 18.5" panel.
2. Have the system installed with fresh Ubuntu 8.10 OS.
3. Install the graphic driver packages by the following sequence:
     xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.4.1-1ubuntu10.5~test1_i386.deb
     linux-image-2.6.27-14-generic_2.6.27-14.33_i386.deb
     linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-14-generic_2.6.27-14.19_i386.deb
4. Reboot the system. (i.e. - System will switched to resolution 1366*768 after
reboot.)
5. Launch the Screen Resolution UI and select 1440*900 then click apply.
6. Observe the phenomenon occurred. (i.e. - Out of range occurred.)
