Hi, sorry for the late answer but I was outside home this week and my laptop does not have an integrated cd drive. I've just checked the new stable kubuntu live cd and the problem worsened, in the RC the cd didn't start x automatically but ended into terminal, but using startx from the command line x started, while in the stable version startx just bring up a black screen. I'll attach the required files in this and next reply. There was no xorg.conf into the livecd (kubuntu amd64). Thank You K.
