I also opened an issue with Dreamtime and they discovered and ultimately changed settings for their SIP support which cleared this issue. Pls close as a non issue for Ekiga. ------Original Message------ From: Pedro Villavicencio Sender: boun...@canonical.com To: pboke...@bellsouth.net ReplyTo: Bug 287910 Subject: [Bug 287910] Re: Ekiga does not properly unregister Sent: Apr 24, 2009 10:32 AM
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: ekiga (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Ekiga does not properly unregister https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287910 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “ekiga” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: ekiga Ekiga comes on-line and registers with my two SIP providers, ekiga.net and Diamondcard. Upon shutdown registration to ekiga.net is properly shutdown, but registration to Diamondcard remains registered. -- Note, this is hypothesis, Diamondcard does not make a troubleshooting page available to show whether SIP client is registered like the one at ekiga.net Impact: Calls to Diamondcard from a normal outside line report "All Circuits are busy" when call delivery to client is attempted. Work arounds: (1) Bring up another SIP client such as the Diamondcard provided "Dreamtime Softphone 2.1.9b" (only Windows available) and then tear it down to release the connection (2) Wait for the timeout to expire. Timeout is not configurable. Default shown for Ekiga.net appears to be 1 hour, so possible Diamondcard is also using 1 hour as the timeout.
