I have a Kontron kt690 mITX board, with an ATI Technologies Inc RS690M [Radeon X1200 Series]
I've just dist-upgraded to the mesa-7.4-0ubuntu3 packages mentioned above, and I still get the unusable mythfrontend, no fonts and no bitmaps.
