** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-psb There are odd artifacts when running Blender on my Dell Mini 12 which uses the Intel GMA500 (Poulsbo) video chipset. When Blender launches the screen looks OK. Whenever you mouse over a button or select a menu the screen flips corrupting the application widgets but showing the splash screen. Interacting with any of the 3d objects causes similar artifacts. Clicking around in the main Blender window clear the artifacts but sometimes blanks out all the widget panels. This makes Blender unusable. I am not running Compiz or any similar 3d desktop enhancements. Other 3d applications appear to function just fine. This problem exists in Ubuntu 8.04.1 and 8.04.2. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation System Controller Hub (SCH Poulsbo) [8086:8100] (rev 06) + Subsystem: Dell Unknown device [1028:02b1] + 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation System Controller Hub (SCH Poulsbo) Graphics Controller [8086:8108] (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) + Subsystem: Dell Unknown device [1028:02b1]
