As I mentioned earlier, the kernel fix is already in our pre-released
repository, please follow the steps below to test again.  Wireless issue
can be fixed.

1. Refer to the attached screenshot.  After a fresh 8.10 install, open software 
update source, check Pre-released updates, and close.
2. Run system update, which will update the kernel to 2.6.27-14.
3. Install xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.4.1-1ubuntu10.5~test1_i386.deb. No need 
to install kernel package because it's already updated in step 2.

After you finish the above steps, your system should be able to detect
the correct resolution, and wireless should be working.

LOM issue might be hardware issue, please check your hardware.
