i'm having the same problem now. i'm running 64 bit jaunty and was updating and adding some games with the add/remove manager and surfing digg when the computer froze and i had to restart. i ran the synaptic manager which told me to type sudo config -a or something like that in terminal so i did and then i ran synaptic again and it asked me to report this error. except my libtiff is 3.8.2-11 and now i get more errors:
